If you're a Friend's fan then you'll most likely already know that today, E4 has stopped showing repeats of the famous TV show. Although the American hit show ended seven years ago, it's popularity is still as great as ever. Whether it's a remembered quote, favourite scene or running through your local park Phoebe style, most of us will recall some segment of the show - here's a few of my favourite photos and moments:
Whilst dads and boyfriends across the country are probably jumping for joy at this news, I have mixed feelings. Although I understand that E4 has to commission and show the latest programmes to keep the channel fresh and audience ratings high, Friends is an immediate, guaranteed attraction. Whether you need a quick pick-me-up, a hangover programme or a childhood reminiscent, Friends provided all that. Now, before I sound like I'm referring to this as an end of the world event (to some it maybe), the Friends boxset is readily available for around £50. Bargain!
If you're close to tears at the prospect of losing following your favourite New Yorker's than fear not Britons - the show will now re-locate to Comedy Central. So there it is readers, a silver lining to what could have been a very grey cloud ;)
