The Spring Fashion Show 2012

How many times has your heart sunk after clocking a fashion event only to find it's based in London? Whilst it's understandable that the majority of events do take place in the capital, it does leave the rest of the country a little on the lacking side of things. But fear not fashionistas as on Wednesday 8th February 2012, The Spring Fashion Show rolls into Manchester.

Now in it's third year, the show, created by producer and designer Victoria Rosso (with the new addition of Clare McKinstry) seeks to showcase the latest fresh fashion talent in the UK. Featuring "up and coming fashion collections" from designers such as Thom Neal, Kelly Bull, Crystal Padmore, Cross Culture Fashion, Victoria Rosso with more to be confirmed, the night promises an array of unique designs and styles from all over the country.

And it's not just the catwalk where all eyes will be locked, there will also be a fashion market where you will be able to splash your cash on "a range of products from clothing, to jewellery to cakes."

The finale of the night will also see one lucky designer crowned "The Best Emerging Designer Award." Sponsored by online fashion boutique, Fashion Pony, this title will see the winner take part in a photo shoot and be given the fantastic opportunity to sell their collection on the Fashion Pony website to an international audience. Amazing right?!

Sponsor, online magazine, Urban Coco praised the return of this year's Spring Show, admitting how they are "eagerly awaiting" the event as "it is guaranteed to deliver and showcase worthy, talented designers and models."

So that's fashion, food and fun all ticked off - now how do I get involved? Tickets for the show cost £9, and the best news? Proceeds are going to Oxfam, "a charity dedicated to helping people around the world" - so you can have fun whilst knowing you're giving something back! Tickets can be purchased here, however there are a limited number so snap yours up now if you want to be guaranteed entry to the event!

The event is taking place at Pitcher and Piano at the Deansgate Locks which is a stones throw away from Deansgate train station and the famous Beetham Tower (aka the Hilton Hotel). Below is a map pinpointing the exact location for those of you who aren't familiar with Manchester and the locations of each of the main train stations in the city:

"The show starts at 8pm but you shouldn't be fashionably late, come early and have a scout round the stalls and secure a prime position to see the show." Thanks to The Spring Fashion Show, I'll be there on the night to snap the hottest looks and hopefully I'll see some of you there - shout and say hello if you spot me!
