Bloggers Style Inspiration: Life Without Tanlines

If you haven't heard of 'Life Without Tanlines' then where have you been?! LWT, run by American model Lauren Maxwell is a fashion blog where the clothes are to die for but beware - you will get style envy.

She can pull off almost any look possible from rock 'n' roll in leather and clashing prints (top) to feminine lace and girly pink (second left). And accessories aren't neglected either from sweet as sugar hair bows to killer heels and backpacks and belts to a timeless watch.

Lauren's style is effortless, glamorous and daring. She can switch between a safe black dress and then mix it up with bold patterns and unique shoes.

"Fashion means the chance to be whoever you want to be. One day you can be this chic princess dreaming of wearing Chanel or Oscar de la Renta, or the next day you can be an edgy modernist who doesn't care what anyone thinks they have on. Fashion is the chance to play dress up, to dream" says Lauren.

She states on her blog how she'll happily go to the grocery store in heels and I couldn't agree more. I do this myself and at the beginning people used to stare but now they're used to me as they know I'm not doing it to be 'quirky', it's just the way I dress.

As far as style icons go, Lauren's is a prestigious one in the glamorous Grace Kelly: "She was always so elegant and beautiful, truly a classy woman."

"And as far as designers go, no-one will ever beat Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel; he's just impeccable" she states.

While her fashion is in a completely different league to that of mine, I find I can relate to Lauren as she comes across as very down to earth. It's refreshing to see someone not head to toe in fake tan as I myself am pale and get the usual jibes that come along with that! I also like how she mixes up her fashion blogging with personal photos and posts, especially family photos. My family and I don't take nearly enough photos, I think we took a grand total of three last year, which is quite a shame really as photos bring back the memories that we can't replay.

And finally, I can't wrap this up without addressing her hair. Yes, it's AMAZING and yes, I am JEALOUS. Whilst I have long hair myself, I'm always wanting it longer and people who know me will know how picky I am about my hair. I dislike the hairdressers and rarely go as I'm a control freak and don't enjoy the fact that I'm paying them to make my hair shorter! Hair like Lauren's can be an accessory in itself and can completely transform the ambience of your attire from the a messy beach wave look, to a perfected ballerina bun.

Of course by now I bet you're wanting to discover this gem of a blog so click here to do so! You can also follow Lauren on Twitter here and become a fan of her looks on Lookbook
