I've avoided making a Facebook page for my blog ever since I started blogging as as silly as it sounds, I'm not entirely comfortable for people on my account to know about Style Speaks Louder Than Words. I also don't advertise my Twitter account on Facebook purely so people don't find out. Which is all a bit stupid considering the whole point of a blog is to have people read it but I am insecure and having a blog is intimidating - you're putting yourself and your work out there and whether you like it or not - it's going to be judged. I was bullied at school and I've had people write nasty stuff about me online (even dedicating an entire blog post about me) so I'm in some ways worried that I'm opening up a can of worms. But do you know what? You only live once and people will always judge, it's in our nature. So while I don't shout from the rooftops about my blog (I even hide it from my family), I need to get over the fact that it's out there. Writing, Journalism and Fashion is what I want to make a career of which is why I set this blog up. I don't want to hide away from that ambition so I shouldn't hide away from my blog.
