Glossybox // January (Better late than never!)

Yeah, I get it - I'm weeks behind the trend. Here's why... I live in Preston whilst I'm at university and my parents is in Derbyshire and the majority of all of my deliveries go there. Why? Because, I found it easier not to change my address on order forms and with parcels, there's usually someone in at my house to collect or I know and trust the people who live around us to collect it on our behalf. So, I only knew that a Glossybox had arrived when my sister text me over a week ago. As I nipped home last night for the Manchester Spring Fashion Show (a blog post will be up soon!), I took my suitcase back to pick up the January box.

I at first wasn't going to post my 'two cents' on this months box as I'm sure an array of fabulous bloggers have already provided readers with that, but I am excited about the January box and I always say, credit where credit is due :)

This month's box is themed for Valentine's Day. I'm not massively into pink and stuff that is 'too girly' but I did like the attention to detail that has gone into this box with the love heart and grey bow. Plus, I love using the boxes as storage systems and the hot pink is a nice change from something safe like black.

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner
"Get a handle on your eyeliner for precise definition and intense colour with a long-lasting finish."
It's rare that I ever go without eyeliner so I'll definitely make use of this Eyeko one. I usually wear Rimmel's Jet Black, but this softer brown shade will be ideal come the Spring/Summer days when less-make becomes a norm! I've never tried any Eyeko products before so I'm excited to see if they live up to the name. I also like the bold packaging of the eyeliner and the shape of the pencil, it's something that if you threw it into your bag, you'd be able to tell by the feel of it that it's your eyeliner which is always a plus!

Murad Hybrids Skin Perfecting Primer (Dewy Finish)
"Oil-free primer ignites a radiant glow, powered by light-enhancing minerals."
If their claim is anything to go by, than this product sounds like it could work miracles. This is easily my 'I'm most looking forward to using...' product out of the whole box. I've never used a primer as I didn't want to splash out on a decent one for it not to sit right on my skin. So to get to test this Murad one is perfect timing, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it'll work for me!

Orly Nail Lacquer in Ruby
"Orly, the top Californian brand, offers an infinite range of colours."
As most know, nail polishes really aren't my thing. I don't have the patience or precision to get nice looking nails but, Glossybox proved me wrong last time with the Nail Rock which I fell in love with so you can never say never. Plus, as I'm avid red-lipstick wearer, at least my pout will match my nails with this shade.

Weleda One Step Cleanser & Toner
"Weleda One-Step Cleanser and Toner is a handy two-in-one pack for travel."
This is the only product out of the lot that I'm slightly apprehensive about trying. I'm not going to name names, but in the past, my skin reacted badly to an expensive, well-known brand and my doctor then on advised me to steer clear of perfumed products. But, I'll still try a little bit of it so see if my skin has learnt to deal with other products.

Fab Gentle Body Wash
"A moisturising, irritant-free everyday cleanser ideal for even the most sensitive skin."
I'm really impressed with not only the packaging of this product but that it claims to work with even sensitive skin (which I have). I'm hoping it lives up to these claims.

What did you think of January's Glossybox. Which was your favourite product(s)?

  1. Same! Since I was at work I made it deliver to my sister which means that I only just got my hands on it. Oops! I got exactly the same things in my box and I'm excited to try these products out!
