Review: DKNY Golden Delicious

DKNY Golden Delicious - 30ml*

Although I was sent this last August, I wanted to wait a good while to properly test this perfume so that I could give a fair review. First impressions of the smell of a perfume are all well and good but when someone will potentially fork out their hard earned money on something you recommend,  I feel a responsibility to have given the product a long test period.

Christian Dior once said that "a woman's perfume says more about her than her handwriting." If that's the case than this perfume will speak leaps and bounds about you. Stylish and sleek, it's sophistication in a bottle. The design is also a dream. Whereas conventional perfumes tend to be in a typical rectangular shape, Golden Delicious is smoothly contoured and the glistening gold bottle reveals a scent of effortless elegance and grace thanks to a mix of floral and musk.

As for the price, it retails at £32 for 30ml, £46 for 50ml and £64 for 100ml. I'll be honest here, I normally would not have brought this perfume as for me, spending £30+ on something I could potentially grow to hate and thus have wasted what could have been a new dress, is a risk. I don't have much disposable income so I limit what perfumes I do buy, but after using this product on a weekly basis, I'm sold. It's a scent that transforms your look from day to night and something I turn to when I throw on an LBD for a night out with the girls or a fancy meal. Another reason I think this perfume's value for money is that it's long lasting - the scent stays. This for me is a vital aspect of a perfume. I don't want to spend £30 on something to have to keep topping it up during the day, thus using it up quicker. I don't need to re-apply it at all and it speaks volumes when it has lasted me half a year.

I always wanted to try one of the DKNY delicious perfumes and now I have, I'll definitely try another - maybe the apple one as it sounds divine. Have you tried any of the DKNY delicious perfumes?
