LDN Lunch

Last Saturday saw me travel 220 miles to London to have lunch with 40 strangers. Luckily, the train only takes two and a half hours and for bloggers, meeting new people is an everyday occurrence. We read each others blogs and we know each others style which although we've never met them, make us feel like we know them.

I'd normally do a proper outfit post of 'What I Wore' however since I left my house at 9am, the lighting wasn't the best and to be honest, I was tired from the early start. I did however, snap a few shoddy snaps on the train down!

Organised by Sophie, Claire and Eloise, bloggers from across the country came together to mingle and eat at London's Jet Lag bar. After the event on Twitter I read that some of the girls overheard the men trying to come up with a conclusion as to why we were there. Want to know what it was? That we were lesbian speed daters! Typical men. But to be fair, 40 well-dressed women entering a sports bar on the day of the Liverpool match probably did look a little weird, but still, wrong judgement!

I was a little nervous once I arrived at the venue as I haven't walked into an event by myself since starting blogging so I felt like I'd re-winded back to the start! Luckily I already knew a few of the girls there - Sarah, Rebecca and Annabel so once I spotted them, I felt a little more at ease!

Whilst waiting for our food to be ready, we were given blog badges and given the opportunity to vote for the best dressed blogger of the day. It was hard to pick as there were so many stylish people there but Sian's spring palette of mint and dusty pink immediately caught my eye. Enough so, to make me go and purchase her exact blouse from Primark. See - blogger's style is inspirational! Sian deservingly took home the crown of best dressed and won an array of goodies from Motel Rocks and Liz Earle.

The rest of the afternoon was dedicated to cocktails and catching up with our favourite bloggers. It was a lovely informal atmosphere and I was gutted that I had to leave as early as I did as I didn't get to talk to as many people as I wanted to - but hopefully there'll be another event soon! Thank you to the Sophie, Claire and Eloise for all the planning and preparation that went into the event! Make sure to visit their blogs for (much better) round ups of the event!
