Motel Spring 2012

Last Thursday I had the privilege of attending the Spring/Summer event held by Motel Rocks. I attended last year's gathering and after how much of a success that was, I was so excited for this year's!

Upon arrival we were greeted with a room swarming with fashionable bloggers, balloons, macaroons, cocktails and cakes. A recipe for fun? Of course! I tried my first ever macaroon, to Elodie's shock and loved them! #

As well as the new collection from Motel, Glossybox, Nail Rock and Rock 'n' Rose Jewellery were on hand to make the evening more exciting. Glossybox ran a competition to win a spa day by suggesting a future theme for the box. And I can happily report that Elodie won woooo!

Rock 'n' Rose Jewellery, who's designs are worn by the likes of Pixie Lott were showcasing their collection and let us kindly take home a piece. I chose the popular inverted cross which I will be non-stop wearing as I've been after one for a while!

We were also treated to a fab manicure from Nail Rock. I chose polkadots as I'm a big fan of them. I've used Nail Rock's wraps before so was looking forward to using them again. I'll write a review of these in a few days, but for now here's what the finished look looked like!

And then, the fashion. Motel's Spring collection is divine. Patterns a plenty and colours so sweet they'll give you toothache.

My favourite collection was the Riveria and my favourite piece was the lovely Elma dress! I love the denim look about it and I think it would look effortless this Spring/Summer teamed with flat pumps or glammed up with a leather jacket and black heels.

And my favourite part of these events? The people of course! As well as spending the evening with Elodie, I was reunited with the lovely Sarah - two people who I now class as good friends thanks to blogging! It's just a shame that I go to university so far away. But hopefully I'll be able to move to London soon, so it won't be so long between catch ups! I grabbed a quick chat with Selina, who as always was so nice and put on a fantastic event! I also got to meet lots of new faces which I love doing - bloggers unite! ha.

So thank-you to Selina, Motel Rocks, Glossybox, Rock 'n' Rose Jewellery and Nail Rock for holding a fabulously fashionable event :)
