Jubilee Fashion: Kate Middleton

While the Queen's Jubilee was the main celebration of the bank holiday, fashion-forward Kate, didn't disappoint in the style stakes. Through her natural elegant flare and classic beauty, the Duchess of Cambridge can make a long sleeve and lengthy hem-line look stunning. While the Queen's style is always spot on, Kate's I can relate to - well if you forget that I'm not a Duchess, as good looking or in line to the throne - you know, small details...

Kate showcased scarlet in this Alexander McQueen dress for the Thames river pageant, demonstrating her continuing loyalty to the brand. The fitted top flaunted Kate's slim figure whilst the pleats added a feminine and flirty touch to the ensemble. The Lock & Co headpiece made the outfit even more regal and accentuated her trademark half up half down hairstyle. Nude LK Bennett shoes and minimal make-up kept the look muted and let the bold colour do the talking. Red's a tough shade to rock, even more so when you're d├ębuting such a striking colour on such an important weekend, but Kate, as always looked great.

Sunday's Thanksgiving Service at St.Paul's Cathedral saw Kate select a shade on the other end of the spectrum. This gorgeous Alexander McQueen cream and nude dress,  which reminded me of bridal attire, looked ladylike to a tee. From the delicate lace, to the satin ribbon which accentuated Kate's slim waist, the look was fresh and feminine. Matching clutch, LK Bennett shoes and a stunning Jane Taylor net headpiece rounded off a look that was young but regal.

What did you think of Kate's fashion choices?
