What I Wore: Waterfall

Hat: New Look T-Shirt: Primark Skirt: H&M Fishnet tights: Primark Bracelet: Freedom at Topshop

After having style envy of everyone and their mother who has recently been wearing a waterfall/dip hem skirt - I now have one! I spotted this beauty in H&M about a month ago but only had one in a size 10. I went in on the weekend hunting for it, not expecting to find it and there it was - one left, in my size - if that's not a sign, I don't know what is! I of course rushed to the till with it, with a few other cheeky purchases too... I tried to keep this look simple with a basic grey top, silvery jewellery and something I never normally wear - a hat! I bought this last season in New Look's sale for the bargain price of just £2. I'm not overly convinced whether I'm a 'hat person' as I feel really self-conscious wearing them 'out and about' - because, let's face it, how embarrassing would it be for it to fly across the road/street? Are there ways to ensure it stays on your head? If so, answers on a postcard (not really, just leave me a comment or tweet me!). I also went out of my comfort zone in wearing some fishnets. Luckily they were concealed by the draping of the skirt so I think I  got away with it!

It's less than three weeks till I go to Australia and this skirt is definitely coming with me! What do you think of the whole waterfall/dip hem skirt? Overdone? Or a piece everyone should own?

  2. This is a great look! I have a dip hem skirt but I'm yet to wear it as it's a mermaid-esque pastel shimmer colour so not as versatile as yours! x
