Review: Pama Plug 'N' Go Charger

Ever since I got my IPhone last year I can honestly say that I'd never go back to any other phone. However one big downside I have with the phone is the battery. It's rare that my phone will last the full day without needing a charge which is a bit of a nightmare when you need it urgently to contact people or like me, you rely on your phone to tell the time or use it as an alarm clock.

Which is why when the lovely people at Mobile Fun kindly offered me the chance to review one of their products, I jumped at the chance of solving my battery problem. Mobile Fun is the UK's leading online retailer and offers a range of products, from IPhone Accessories to speakers, chargers and cases. I received the Pama 'N' Go Charger which is a universal portable charger.
The accessory kit itself is compact and lightweight, making it easy to carry around with you. As the Pama Plug 'N' Go charger is universal, it comes with nine adaptors for different brands of devices. I'm not sure whether it has an adaptor for my camera charger so I'll have to investigate because if it does, that would be an added bonus! I also have an IPod which of course would fit this adaptor, which is great for me as I get travel sick on long journeys.

As you can see from the photo, the charger itself is roughly the same size as my IPhone, however thankfully it's no-where near as heavy. It's incredibly lightweight and sleek in it's design so it's really easy to transport around with me.

To charge the device, plug the USB end of the lead into the plug. Then you simply plug the thin end of the lad into the corresponding hole in the top of the device labelled 'DC in.'

To connect and charge your IPhone, take the thin end of the lead and plug that into the IPhone/IPod adaptor.

Plug the adaptor into your IPhone/Ipod like so and with the USB end of the lead, plug that into the USB slot into the device labelled 'USB out.' Your device should then immediately start charging. If not, double check you've switched on the 'on' button. I think the button is a really good addition as it's stiff enough not to accidentally switch on in your bag and waste power.

The charger itself takes between 3-4 hours to charge fully which is a little longer than I was expecting, however since it chargers a battery fully twice before needing re-charging, it's definitely worth giving it the full charge. There's a helpful charge monitor on the side which shows how much battery you have left. I did find that on some occasions my IPhone said that the accessory wasn't compatible with my phone, however this happens sometimes with my speakers and often goes away if you re-connect the lead so that isn't really a negative on the product.

I've been using this charger religiously for the past month and make it part of my routine to charge it before a long journey or commuting as without it, I would be without my phone. It's an essential for me so I would definitely recommend it to anyone who like me, is always on low battery!
