Another year's over and although people say this every year, this year really has flown by. So much has changed, so much has happened but as the saying goes: "Life is what happens when you're busy making other plans." Here's my year in photos, and words, but mostly photos...
Fashion week came to Manchester for the first time and I was lucky enough to get tickets. Hopefully this is only the start of amazing things to come to Manchester because it's a fantastic city!
2012 has been the year of making new friends, from friends of friends to accquanitances at internships and of course - blogging. The more friends the merrier!
The three years at university flew by. Three years, three addresses, three years of hard work but more importantly fun times!
Celebrating the jubilee in London. From Horse Guard's parade ceremony to the Hyde Park concerts and the Thames river pageant, it really was THE weekend to be in London!
I may not have been in the country for the Olympics but joining in on the Olympic torch parade was definitely special!
A spontaneous weekend in Wales with friends. The food was delicious, the weather was stunning - can I go back please?
Celebrating my 21st birthday with my friends and family.
July 2012 - I got my degree. I have some great friends and memories to look back on.
A holiday of a lifetime and one which I'll never forget. I just wish it wasn't as far away as it is!
Interning in London - where better?!
Christmas 2012 - seemed to creep up shockingly quickly this year but was nonetheless lovely.
I'm definitely a family person but I want to make sure I spend more time with the people I love in the New Year.

There's been loads of other memories from birthdays, nights out, parties and days out. I landed my job shortly after graduating which has changed my life dramatically and whilst there have been some downs in 2012, there's been some equal 'ups' too. Here's to 2013!

What I Wore: Lady in Red

IMG_8379 IMG_8376 IMG_8377 IMG_8384 IMG_8388
Blazer: F&F, Dress: Boohoo,  Bag: Primark

This was my Christmas day outfit for 2012. Whilst I wear a red lip more often than not, I hardly own any clothing of the same colour. However I do love this dress and with it being an incredibly festive colour, it made the big day. I teamed it with my trusty F&F blazer and my bargain Primark bag. I have to admit, although we moan about it when it comes, I would have liked some snow at Christmas to make it feel more, well, Christmassy!

Friday Feature: Sale Picks

One good thing about Christmas coming and going is the sales. Well, saying that, it's always disheartening when you pay full price for something for it then to go half price a few weeks later, but sadly this is the way of the world! Where some shops only knock off a few pounds to begin with, others, like Next tend to give half price off straight away which is why it's one of the most popular sales around (people don't queue in the early hours for nothing!). Now, to stop myself adding all of these to my basket...

Who loves short shorts? River Island loves short shorts, and when they look as chic as this, it's hard to say no! This denim gillet is a nod to the new season whilst this pretty floral prom dress is a fresh and subtle take on the trend.

Stock up on classic shades like grey and black at New Look's sale. This ombre dress is a new spin on the shirt dress and these ankle boots will become your wardrobe staple. Mix up textures in a leather look collar or a velvet slipper.

It's a mix of classic and colourful pieces at H&M's sale. A biker jacket will see you through all seasons whilst this polkadot shift is effortlessly chic. Accessorize with this feminine green collar or this lovely lilac hat which will brighten up the dull Winter days!

Topshop magics up some monochrome gems in their sale this season. This contrast collar dress is a real statement piece - team with these t-bar ballet flats for head to toe Chanel-chic. Or treat yourself to a new coat - maybe Military or a classic biker will do the job!

Which sales have you been loving? Share any of your bargains below in the comments!

I'm armed with my Christmas jumper and plan to do some Christmas filming and photos - because you can never have too many memories!

What I Wore: It's Beginning to Look a lot like Christmas

IMG_8008 IMG_8013 IMG_8022 IMG_8026 IMG_8028
Jumper: Boohoo, Skirt: Boohoo, Boots: H&M, Bag: Zara

I don't think anyone needs reminding, but...It's less than a week until CHRISTMAS!! Cue cheesy music, parties and the obligatory Christmas jumpers! This particular jumper is good in that I can wear it past Christmas without looking bizarre as it doesn't have a Christmas orientated pattern like Santa or rudolph. I wore it to decorate my friend's new pad in the country. They've moved back to where she grew up which is fantastic as it means I get to spend more time with the both of them. I think that's what's great about Christmas - it brings all of your friends and family together and makes you realise how much you love and appreciate them. We let the men axe down the main tree while we decorated the second smaller one before sharing out decorating the rest of the house. I'm going to spend the rest of the run-up to Christmas doing typical Christmas things like baking, playing carols on the piano and watching Christmas films.

What are your favourite Christmassy things to do?

What I Wore: Bow Coat

IMG_7991 IMG_7993 IMG_7995 IMG_7996 IMG_7997 IMG_7999 IMG_8000 IMG_8001
Coat: Boohoo, Bag: Zara, Skirt: Boohoo, Lipstick: Rimmel

You may have already seen my Boohoo coat here, but I love it that much, I thought it deserved an outfit post of its own. This is what I wore on Saturday, the day after my work Christmas do. It was a lot of fun although resulted in a little bit of a headache the morning after, but what's a party if you don't have a little hangover right? I was up early to commute back home so threw my hair up in what's becoming my 'go-to' hairstyle and a pink lip, because sometimes red takes a back seat. I spent the day browsing the shops of Buxton with my mum which was nice, before a quiet night in.
