Friday Feature: The LBD

When in doubt, we all turn to our trusty LBDs for guaranteed glam. With an overload of textures, designs and fit to choose from, black is most definitely not boring this party season. Team with a bold lip and delicate jewellery for a look that screams luxury!

Warehouse wins the award for top textures this season. This Leather and Feather dress is a fashionable take on feathers, combining the two textures for an interesting twist. Whilst this Feather Hem Dress is a more subtle take on the trend. Topped off with mesh detailing and a velvet bodice, it's a show-stopping ensemble!

5. Sheer Dotty Dress - Glamorous: £32.99, 6. Belle Dress by Jones and Jones - Topshop: £75, 7. Mesh Cut Out Dress - Glamorous: £28, 8. Applique Tulip Dress - Miss Selfridge: £65

Covered up doesn't need to be conservative. These sleeved dresses will give you style with sophistication. I'm loving these Glamorous dresses and this Jones and Jones lace number would be the ultimate New Year look!

9. Scuba High Neck Skater Dress - Topshop: £38, 10. Fringed Leather Look Dress - Topshop: £85, 11. Devore Burn Out Bodycon Dress - Warehouse: £50, 12. Lucille Dress by Motel - Topshop: £52
WHERE TO BUY

High neck pieces are big players this season whilst this Motel dress is a subtle way to do sparkles. Go Boho in a fringed number or stick to a classic pattern like this pretty flock piece.

Luckily LBDs are one of the most versatile dresses around. They can easily be dressed down, making them the perfect switch up from desk to dance floor or brunch to bar!

  4. Love that high necked Topshop one, I've been looking for a high necked dress but I would prefer it with sleeves. Also very much enjoying the sheer fronted ones.

  5. eventhough there's such a big collection, i don't think i'd wear any of them!
i do quite like #11 but the neckline is too deep. if i had to wear one, i'd probably go for #2 or #10
