Review: Essie Nail Polish in 'Limo Scene'

Essie - 'Limo Scene' - Boots: £7.99
I have a confession - I've never (well before this occasion obviously) tried an Essie nail polish. Over this past year I've seen the brand at events, on dozens of blog reviews and in magazine adverts all over the country. At nearly £8, it's not normally a price I'd pay for a nail polish as I don't really pay much attention to my nails. However, I had enough credit on my Boots' points so thought why not. I initially wanted to get their No.1 shade - 'Ballet Slippers, however my Boots was sold out for two weeks and I am impatient so I picked up a shade close to that of 'Ballet Slippers' - 'Limo Scene.'

First things first, I love the design of Essie nail polishes. They're simple, they're chic and their colours are so pretty. The polish itself is nice and thick, meaning you can easily and quickly build up your desired consistency. I'm pretty bad at painting my nails so they're not the most even but as far as being chip-resistant goes, they're still in great condition days later. My nails look shiny and healthy and the colour is a nice classic manicure shade - which is perfect for someone like me who doesn't like to change her nails often!
