Casual Check

Sometimes (some being the main word here) I eat my own words - and with fashion I'm quite happy to do it. When smock dresses became a big hit last year I was dubious. Due to my (lack of) height and petite frame I have to be careful what I wear so smock dresses seemed like my worst enemy. Whilst some I've bought and couldn't have returned faster due to resembling a sack/looking like I've bought four sizes up, this is the second to win its way into my wardrobe. What I think works about this dress is that the top half is more fitted than the average smock which contrasts well against the baggier bottom half. Also the tapered arms on it give it that relaxed and casual feel. I can't wait to take this dress through to spring where fingers crossed I'll be able to bare my legs and wear it with a chunky heeled boot and a biker jacket.

  1. LOVE THIS! I'm the same though, Ive tried SO MANY. The Asos ones are the worst, I'm literally lost in them with my little head poking out.

    xx
