Held on the 10th floor or The Arndale House with stunning views of the city centre, it was a blogger event with a difference. Each blogger was allocated a retailer from the centre and given the task of finding the perfect party dress for £100. As an avid shopper I couldn't wait to browse the rails of my chosen retailer which turned out to be Ark. What I love about the store is all of the different brands it houses, giving room for a mix of creativity and individuality whether you're style is more quirky or classic.

After welcome Prosecco and canapes we had the chance to browse each other's picks for the night and it was great to see how unique each of our looks were. Before we slipped into our party dresses we were given a glam make up and hair makeover. I went for some retro curls and my statement red lip to give some colour pop to my outfit. Speaking of, below is a quick pic I snapped of it on the night. It was quite 90s in its cut, with the high neck and spaghetti straps - it reminded me of something that Cher from Clueless might wear. Not only was that one of the reasons I chose it, I do love LBDs - they're timeless, classic and so versatile. This Ark dress is one I'll be able to wear not only in the party season but to dress down also, and that's a rare quality in a party dress.

The amazingly talented Dom and Ink was on hand to sketch each of us. If you haven't seen his work before, where HAVE you been?! Before the night wrapped up, the lovely Victoria from In The Frow and judges from the MEN selected their top 10 favourite dresses of the night. I was a little shocked to be called up first, so much so my awkward walk to the front was nothing short of cringey! Jokes aside it was great to be selected as a top ten finalist. What happens now is that the top ten dresses go on display in The Arndale for the public to vote for their favourite look for a chance of winning a £100 Manchester Arndale gift card. You can vote online here!

Thank you to the Manchester Arndale team for hosting a great event and to Ark for my lovely dress which was kindly gifted. Good luck for the competition all!
