Review | Junkyard Golf Club
I was never very good at the Driving Range. One in five swings would be a belter but every other wasn't anything to tell the kids about. So bad in fact I had to start wearing a glove as the club ripped my hands to shreds. Luckily mini golf is kinder on the skin and requires less whack on your swing. So off we went.
Conveniently located next to Piccadilly Station, it's perfect for those coming in and out of the city and you can eat, drink and play here. We didn't eat but had a quick glass of vino - only one mind, drunk golfing isn't recommended...
There's two courses at Junkyard, we did the Pablo and worked our way around the nine holes, each amazingly themed with my kinda attention to detail. Puns are everywhere and whomever came up with them all, please give yourself a well earned pat on the back you wonderful creature. We all got a little excited at the bath tub hole, it's the little things guys... I won't spoil every hole for you otherwise it'd ruin the fun when you go but they're all different and range in difficulty.
What's clear is a lotta love's gone into this venue. The tunes are good, the vibes are great and the golf is top notch. Luckily the golf gods were looking down on me as I swarmed past to take the win. I'm no Tiger Woods just yet but I'll take my wins where I can. If you fancy a game yourself, it's less than a tenner and is a great alternative night out rather than just heading to the pub.
