L-O-V-E

Untitled More than too many people mock Taylor Swift for writing about her past relationships, but why? Adele's best songs come from her heart, and whether you guys agree with me or not, some of my favourite writing comes from 'within.' The world would be an awfully dull place if it didn't come from a varied picture that's for sure.

Whilst we joke about 'not catching feels', in complete contradiction, what would the world be without it? A pretty dull place if you ask me. Love, is, without sounding like 'that guy', what makes the world go round. Its depth, however, is damn well up to you. Shakespeare talks of a love that "does not alter when it alteration finds" and others (a wedding speech to be precise) describes it as a "volcano exploding with emotions or a flaming sun, full of energy." The big 'L' word can be anything but.

Whilst we may say it on the daily as a passing remark, it can mean the person who's been in your life the longest, the one you never saw coming, the one who makes you smile on the daily, laugh out loud 'til your stomach aches and makes you see the brightest sky in the dullest day and who makes wanna strive to be the best version of you.

Love isn't defined by the length of time or the gestures. It's what you make of it, and what you want from it. It can be instant or build up reluctantly over five years. It can make you question yourself, challenge what you first thought and shape you from then on. And when it boils down to it, it can't simply be measured. And that's the beauty of it. Everyone experiences it differently and it lights up your life dependant on what exactly you want from it.

So whenever you're judging Tay Tay, or simply Sarah from down the road, remember this. Love is whatever you make of it, or want it. And as long as you feel it, to hell with everyone else.
