Pretty Venues And Quirky Spots To Visit In Manchester

Untitled

Just like its different districts, Manchester is full of pretty venues and quirky spots worth a visit. I've rounded up some to share from places to shop, sip a cocktail and generally just chill out.

The Refuge

This place regularly makes my visit list and it's not hard to see why. It has a lounge with DJs, restaurant, games room and a winter garden (pictured). Drinks are reasonably priced and it's one of the city's hidden gems.

Utility

The new kid on the block, and just a five minute stroll from the city centre. It sells adorable gift cards, quirky designs, gifts, wrapping paper - the list could go on. If you're stuck for ideas - head here.

Whitworth Locke

Another newbie - Whitworth locke. Located on the river, it's a pretty addition to the Manchester hospitality scene. It's a hotel come bar and coffee house. There's a stunning atrium in the centre and gorgeous design around every corner.

Northern Flower

A quaint and pretty boutique flower shop and plant haven in the Northern Quarter. They do flowers to order, cute little cactus pots and everything in-between.

The Hip Hop Chip Shop

Still new to the scene, Hip Hop Chip Shop's stand alone venue is tucked away off Cutting Room Square in Ancoats. They serve up fish and chips and the most amazing halloumi figures. Wear stretchy pants.

Form Lifestyle Store

Another NQ feature, Form Lifestyle store is minimal but a real marvel. Think greenery, clean lines, beautiful prints and gorgeous gifts. It's my new favourite find.
